Faux News....er Fox News

I think I first realized I was watching a jingoistic right wing editorial and not an objective news report a a few years ago. I woke up one morning, turned on CNN and was greeted with this headline: America At War. Pretty straight forward and accurate considering we just invaded Iraq. Flipping through the channels I happened upon the Fox News Channel (oops) and was greeted with the headline "Operation Iraq Freedom" complete with red white and blue graphics, an American flag flying in the background and talking heads praising the president on his foresight and gumption (its not easy typing sentences like that and not losing my lunch) They came across like if you watch Fox News then your a REAL American, same way the administration contends that if you have an opinion of the war that doesn't include sending 19 years old to their deaths for nothing, then your not a patriot.

Sean Hannity and Bill O'reily tend to sound more like White House Press Secretaries than responsible newscasters. Now I know I know all media is manipulative to a degree including CNN who have jumped on the "No Spin Zone" band wagon with their own "keeping them honest". Cm on CNN don't join em, beat em. I hate the fact that Anderson Cooper feels the need to tell me that they are "Keeping them honest". I don't really need CNN to keep them honest, just watch what is happening in the world and report it to me thanks.
